Sim-Biosis: The environmental science education game
Isokey ‘isa’ davis
The Pontchartrain Conservancy lacks engaging educational tools for middle schoolers outside the classroom; field trips and teacher programs have limited reach, offer no reinforcement and repetition, and have few interactive resources that inspire independent learning and student interest. Sim-Biosis is an environmental science-based education video game designed to foster long-term engagement and a passion for conservation. It is an open-world simulation-type game that allows students to explore the Conservancy’s environmental science concepts, research, and applications in an entertaining medium.
