The SCheDule: An Animated Calendar for the SCD

With the SCD housing the department of design, filmmaking, and mass communications, oftentimes students tend to overlook or not be aware of events happening within these departments. With event reminders being lost in student inboxes and overlooked on flyers in the hallway, this project reimagines how students learn about events. For my project, I propose The SCheDule, an animated calendar that would be displayed by a 3x3 monitor display wall in the CM building, which features smooth transitions between the three departments’ events, a coordinated brand system, and a style guide for future usage. This calendar not only serves as activating the wall space of the building visually, but to be an informational calendar for students to see their events easier and for SCD outsiders to be more inclined and interested in our events.
