Sound Room Archive

CADENCE KEMPF

Sound Room is a digital archive platform designed for the Music Industry program to address the fragmentation of student-created music. Without a centralized system, projects are difficult to discover and preserve, limiting their visibility and long-term impact.

The solution is an interactive Music Library Archive website that organizes and showcases student work in a cohesive, accessible format. Built to handle diverse media and scale over time, it improves discoverability, strengthens program identity, and creates a lasting digital record of student creativity.

UX DESIGN PRACTICUM

Project 1: Great Ideas of Humanity Loyno App

Brief: Build an interactive companion for the Great Ideas Loyno exhibit allowing users to view more information about pieces in the show and extending the exhibition’s impact beyond the gallery.

Solution: This app allows users to easily access information about the posters from anywhere through a QR code. Posters' pages contain extra information and context about their design and designer.

Project 2: Student Peace Initiative (SPI) Web Design

Brief: Design a new web experience for the Student Peace Initiative (SPI) that informs the target audience about the organization’s work, highlights their major yearly events, and encourages them to submit abstracts to present at the Peace Conference.

My Solution: Researched, wire-framed, and branded the website, creating engaging layouts that highlight themes, encourage participation, and showcase events, journals, and impact.
