Flowstate

Daniel constantin

Loyola students often struggle with time management, which is a major source of their stress. While the library offers resources like study rooms and equipment, it doesn’t support students in planning their sessions or getting into a productive mindset. As a result, students don’t fully take advantage of their time there.

Flowstate features task planning, pomodoro timing, ambient sounds and real-time progress tracking to help students start studying and stay focused. With AI integration, it can break down difficult tasks, answer course-specific questions and offer emotional support. It would be accessible through tablets in the study rooms.

The website enables students to effectively plan out their study time in the library, boosting their productivity while reducing stress. It helps users start working sooner by guiding them through decisions, breaking tasks into manageable steps and giving advice. More students would be interested in booking library study rooms to use this resource.

UX DESIGN PRACTICUM

Project 1: Great Ideas of Humanity Loyno App

Brief: Build an interactive companion for the Great Ideas Loyno exhibit allowing users to view more information about pieces in the show and extending the exhibition’s impact beyond the gallery.

Solution: This app allows users to easily access information about the posters from anywhere through a QR code. Posters' pages contain extra information and context about their design and designer.

Project 2: Niche

Brief: Create an ecommerce website for the Design Department’s store, Niche, focusing on strategic branding and UI design aimed at engaging students, faculty, and alumni.

Solution: A tactile, motion-rich website that uses textures and patterns to evoke the handmade quality of the boutique — drawing users into the story of each product and the makers behind them.
