ITERATE
2024 DESIGN CAPSTONE
Fall 2024: Professional Practice Course
THE PROFESSIONAL PRACTICE DESIGN course is taught by Tom Varisco, of Tom Varisco Designs, every fall. The students are directed to focus on concept above all else—and to always think about typography as a major design element, as well as language. Each project is a branding exercise or mini-coordinated campaign that asks the student to think about design holistically in addition to the details of branding and identity.
Spring 2024: Capstone Show: Iterate
CAPSTONE 2024 Iteration is at the core of graphic design. During the initial research and planning stages, and before any actual work has been created, ideas are being refined and modified incrementally. Once rough drafts are created and shared, people will react and give feedback, which can be used to make further improvements. Even when the work is published, designers continue to think about particular adjustments that can still be made. With this in mind, the graduating design
class of 2024 is proud to present a series of projects which demonstrate the revolutionary process of iteration.
